Welcome to JKR

Jurassic Kahili Ranch is a historic property covering 2,800 beautiful acres on the North Shore of Kaua`i. The diverse terrain encompasses breathtaking waterfalls, ponds and streams, and lush forests leading to amazing mountainous areas. The vast green pasturelands are used to organically feed over 200 head of cattle that call JKR home.

Originally gifted to the Mary N. Lucas family in 1847 from King Kamehameha III, JKR was purchased in 2003 with the goal of preservation and land stewardship that has been a part of its 150 year history. As a member of the Kaua`i Watershed Alliance, a partnership among the major public and private landowners, JKR is committed to protecting the island's native Hawaiian forests and watershed areas.

JKR has the distinction of being not only a working cattle ranch, but also a sought-after location for many films (Jurassic Park, Lost World, Jurassic Park III, Jurassic World) TV commercials (Nissan Pathfinder Armada) documentaries (Outdoor Life Network) and several catalogue photo shoots (Nike, SAKS Fifth Avenue).
